Golden Hour Gear Exchange: Skis & Snowboards

At Sunlight Sports, we believe great gear deserves more than one adventure. The Golden Hour Gear Exchange is your chance to score a great deal on high-quality, pre-loved skis and snowboards - or to pass your own gear along and earn something back for what’s next.

For Buyers: Find Your Next Favorite Setup

Better for the Planet
Buying used keeps great gear out of the landfill and out on the snow, where it belongs.

For Sellers: Let Us Handle the Details

What We Accept

  • Skis and snowboards in good condition, with bindings on the indemnified list

  • Bases must be in good shape or repairable by our ski shop (we’ll deduct repair costs from your payout)

How It Works

  • Drop off your gear anytime—our team processes all items on Wednesdays

  • We set fair, competitive prices to help your gear sell

  • Choose cash (up to 70%) or store credit (up to 80%) for your payout

Why Golden Hour?

  • For Buyers: Gear that fits your budget—and your next line.

  • For Sellers: Turn your unused gear into cash or store credit for the next chapter.

  • For Everyone: Less waste. More laps. A stronger outdoor community.

A Few Things to Know

  • Space is limited. We keep room for a select number of items. If we’re full, we may ask you to bring your gear back later.

  • Pickups have a deadline. Any unsold skis and snowboards become the property of Sunlight Sports after April 1st. We’ll do our best to reach out, but make sure to check in before the deadline.

  • No guarantees. Used gear comes with some unknowns. Manufacturer warranties almost never apply.

  • We might have to say no. If your gear is past its prime or functionally worn out, we may not be able to take it—especially with Nordic skis, which often lose flex even if they look OK.

Got questions? Stop by the store—we’re happy to help you shop, drop off, or just talk gear. Let’s keep the cycle going.
