Camping Gear Rentals

We specialize in renting gear for your Greater Yellowstone camping and backpacking expeditions.  We can fully equip you with the gear that you will need, no matter if you will be camping out for one night in a campground, or doing a three week tour of the backcountry in Yellowstone.  We even have an innovative program that will allow you to mail your gear back to us when you are done.

Three reasons to rent from us...
1. The best rates on great equipment.  Two people can get set up for an overnighter for only $59 - less than the cost to buy one stove. 

2.  If you're driving through, you can pick up gear from us and ship it back from another town.  We will send you out with a pre-addressed, shipping-label-enabled box.  All you have to do when you get to Jackson or West Yellowstone or Rapid City or wherever, is just throw the gear in the box and drop it off for UPS.

3.  We have a very knowledgeable staff that can also give you great ideas on where to go with your gear.

We have the following gear for rental...

2 person tent - TNF Rock 22 
3 person tent - TNF Rock 32

Sleeping bags - gender-specific TNF Cat's Meows.  We also supply bag liners.

Backpacks - We rent out the Terra series from The North Face.  Men's, Women's and Youth.  For lighter weight/shorter adventures we rent out the Alteo series - Men's and Womens.

Stoves- the ultra-reliable MSR Windpro canister stove.

Sleeping Pads - classic comfort from the ThermaRest Basecamp.

2011 Sunlight Sports Rental Rates

Rental Days are charged for the days that you use the gear, not pick up or drop off days.

If you choose, we can send you out with a flattened shipping box and prepaid shipping label.  You can ship your rental back to us from wherever you might end up (i.e. Jackson or West Yellowstone).  You simply pay the rate that we pay.

All gear must be returned clean and dry.  Rental gear returned dirty and/or wet will be cleaned and dried for $50 per item.  (Yes, it's expensive.  We would rather you just returned the gear clean and dry!)
